Craig
Brackins
Nagoya Diamond Dolphins (B League) agreed terms with 30-year old American power forward Craig Brackins (208-104kg-87, college: Iowa State) from Shiga L-Stars. In 31 B League games in Japan he had 14.9ppg, 7.5rpg and 1.4apg last season.
The previous (2016) summer Brackins played at Chongqing Sanhai Lanling in Chinese CBA where in 30 games he recorded very impressive stats: 20.6ppg, 14.6rpg, 3.0apg, 1.2spg and 1.2bpg in 2016 season. A very spectacular year in his career as he was named to Asia-Basket.com All-Chinese NBL Honorable Mention.
In 2010 he was drafted by Oklahoma City Thunder (NBA) in first round (21st overall). Brackins attended Iowa State and it will be his eighth season in pro basketball.
He was voted All-Big 12 1st Team back in 2009 at his college time.
Brackins represented USA at the World University Games in Belgrade (Serbia) eight years ago. His team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 7 games: 7.1ppg, 6.0rpg, FGP: 57.7%, 3PT: 29.4%, FT: 62.5%.
Brackins is quite experienced player. He has played in seven different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). Brackins has played previously professionally in Israel (Maccabi Ashdod), Italy (Angelico Biella and Berme Viola Basket Reggio Calabria), Poland (Stelmet), Turkey (Eskisehir Basket), NBA (New Orleans Pelicans and Phi.76ers), D-League (Springfield A.) and NBA G League (Los Angeles D-Fenders and Maine Red Claws).
He could be described: (by Jonathan Wasserman for NBADraft.net in 2010)
A long, versatile and athletic big man, Brackins is an excellent offensive player who can score in a variety of ways ... He has very solid footwork in the post, which allows him to create separation, and with his length and feel for the game he finds ways to knock down shots in different fashion.
Too often he settles for fadeaway shots instead of using his superior size, strength and talent to overpower opponents in one on one situations
