Matthew
Bryan-Amaning
Fukuoka Rizing (B League D3) landed 28-year old British international forward Matthew Bryan-Amaning (205-109kg-88, college: Washington). He has a double citizenship as he also holds Ghanian passport. Bryan-Amaning played most recently at San Lorenzo in Argentinian LigaA. In 18 games he averaged 14.7ppg, 5.8rpg and 1.2spg last season. He helped them to win the league title. Bryan-Amaning also played that season for Soles in LNBP where in 57 games he had very impressive stats: 17.3ppg, 6.5rpg, 1.3apg and 1.3bpg. He contributed to his team winning the regular season and make it to the final. It was a very successful season in his career as he was awarded Latinbasket.com All-Mexican LNBP Player of the Year, Import Player of the Year and Forward of the Year.
Bryan-Amaning has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2014.
He received All-Pac-10 Most Improved Player of the Year award back in 2011 at his college time.
Bryan-Amaning also represented United Kingdom at the Qualifications to European Championships 2015 two years ago.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball Bryan-Amaning experienced life in six different countries playing on three different continents. He is familiar with European, Latin American and of course North American leagues. Bryan-Amaning has played previously professionally in France (Olympique Antibes and SO Maritime Boulogne), Germany (EnBW Ludwigsburg), Serbia (Radnicki 1950 Kragujevac), Turkey (Hacettepe), United Kingdom (London Lions) and Dominican Republic (Soles de Santo Domingo).
He attended University of Washington until 2011 and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball.
Let's have closer look into Bryan-Amaning's outlook: A native of England with Ghana origins, who could become one of the next college ball stars. Now, he's 6'9" with a wingspan of 7'4" wide. Runs and rebounds well. He can play both the forward positions, because he's really athletic, with good post moves and is working to his outside threat.
