Greg Smith

Bank of Taiwan (SBL) added to their roster 27-year old American center Greg Smith (208-114kg-91, college: Fresno State). He played last season at Osaka Evessa in Japanese B League, but left the team in Jan.18. In 20 games he had 9.1ppg, 7.5rpg, 1.9apg and 1.3spg.
Part of previous (2016-17) season Smith spent at Blackwater Elite (PBA) in league where in 10 games he recorded very impressive stats: 27.7ppg, 21.2rpg, 5.1apg, 1.2spg and 1.0bpg. Good season as he was named League Player of the Week. He also played for Istanbul BBSK (BSL) in league. In 7 games he averaged 6.9ppg, 5.4rpg and 1.4apg.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Smith was voted All-D-League Center of the Year back in 2012.
He is quite experienced player. Smith's career allowed him to visit four different continents. He tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America. Smith has played previously professionally in China (Guandong Tigers), Mexico (Soles), NBA (Chicago Bulls, Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets and Minnesota Timberwolves) and NBA G League (Rio Grande Valley Vipers and Raptors 905 Missisauga).
He attended Fresno State until 2011 and it will be his eighth season as a professional player.
On Smith: Physical inside presence. Not overly quick or explosive but is a solid and coordinated athlete with above average mobility given his size. Has soft hands and excellent footwork in the post. Excellent rebounder and an extremely efficient scorer.
