Randall comes back to Cyberdyne Ibaraki Robots - Nov 3, 2018

  follow us on Facebook Twitter

Cyberdyne Ibaraki Robots (B2 League) strengthened their roster with addition of 28-year old American forward Scootie Randall (198-102kg-90, college: Temple). It is actually his comeback to Tsukuba as he has played here before. He spent his 5-year professional career in Japan. Randall is not a newcomer in Japanese League where he played most recently at Gunma Crane Thunders in the B2 League. In 38 games he recorded 14.9ppg, 6.9rpg, 3.6apg and 1.0spg last season. Good year as he was selected League Player of the Week.
The previous (16-17) season Randall played at Cyberdyne (B League). In 31 games he was the best scorer with impressive 21.0ppg and had 8.9rpg, 3.0apg and 1.1spg. Randall helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in B League D2 East Division. Great season indeed as he was selected All-Japanese B League D2 Forward of the Year and voted to 1st Team and voted to All-Imports Team.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his college team won Atlantic 10 Tournament for two years in a row (2009 and 2010). Randall received also All-Atlantic 10 Most Improved Player of the Year award back in 2011.
He has played previously for three other teams: Iwate Big Bulls, Ryukyu Golden Kings Okinawa and Shimane Magic.
Randall attended Temple University until 2013 and it will be his sixth season as a professional player.

Jets win Emperor's Cup in overtime thriller - 2 days ago
Diminutive star Yuki Togashi (170-PG-93) ended the nail-biting, seesaw game with a clutch shot. With just seconds remaining, the point guard put his Chiba Jets ahead with a 3-pointer in their 71-69 overtime win over the Tochigi Brex in Sunday's All-Japan Championship final at Saitama Super Arena. The Jets completed an Emperor's Cup three-peat with the dramatic win, while the Brex failed to earn their first title in the annual tournament. 'I wasn't feeling well with my shooting touch today...   [read more]
