Kanazawa Samuraiz (BJ League) agreed terms with 30-year old American forward Marshall Brown (200-102kg-85, college: Missouri, agency: ESM). He played this summer at Perth Redbacks in Australian SBL. In 15 games he had very impressive stats: 18.2ppg, 6.6rpg and 2.3apg.
It will be his fourth in Japan, as he played for Miyazaki Shining Suns (BJ League) and Akita Northern Happinets (BJ League) in 2012-2013 season. Next year he spent at Shiga Lakestars (BJ League). It was a good season for Marshall as he was selected to Japanese BJ League All-Star Game in 2014.
Brown is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Brazil (Araraquara), Canada (Halifax Rainmen), United Kingdom (Sheffield Sharks), NBA (Portland Trail Blazers), D-League (Austin Spurs and Rio Grande Valley Vipers) and PBL (Vermont FH).
Brown attended University of Missouri until 2008 and it will be his eighth season as a professional player.
On Brown: Possesses astounding jumping ability and great finishing capabilities at the rim ... Is very skilled offensively and can put up big numbers at any time ... Has the defensive capabilities to guard bigger players in the low post and also handle smaller, quicker players on the perimeter.
