JX Sunflowers - Denso Iris 71-68

JX Sunflowers defeated Denso Iris at home court to sweep the WJBL Finals series. The victory marked the sixth straight title for JX Sunflowers as they extended their dominance in the WJBL. Denso Iris were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. JX Sunflowers dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Denso Iris' 50 and made 26-of-32 free shots (81.3 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Denso Iris 89-76 including a 54-40 advantage in offensive rebounds. JX Sunflowers shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 77.8 percentage. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when JX Sunflowers made 204 blocks. 36 personal fouls committed by Denso Iris helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for the former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (191-91) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 17 rebounds. The former international forward Yuka Mamiya (185-90) helped adding 16 points and 9 rebounds. The best for the losing side was the former international power forward Maki Takada (183-89) with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and international guard Kumiko Oba (169-88) scored 16 points and 5 assists. Four JX Sunflowers and five Denso Iris players scored in double figures.
