Asia-Basket.com All-Japanese W League Awards 2026- April 13, 2026![]() Amaka Okonkwo, Nigerian center from the finalist team Toyota Antelopes, was honored as the Player of the Year at the Japan Basketball League.
She received multiple other awards, earned the Defensive Player of the Year, Import Player of the Year, Center of the Year and was named to the First Team.
With Okonkwo's excellent performance, the finalist team Toyota Antelopes achieved the best record of the season in the league, finishing with an impressive 23 to 5 in the regular season.
Okonkwo's best performance made her team reach the finals but they unfortunately were defeated by the Denso Iris 1 to 3.
She averaged almost 11 points per game in the league.
Okonkwo was the Player of the Week honoree twice during the 25 26 campaign.
She led the W League in rebounds per game with almost 12.
Okonkwo recorded double-doubles in 16 games at the event.
Her 28 points against the Chanson V Magic were the most she scored in the 25 26 season.
Nanami Tsuno, 21-year old point guard from the Toyota Boshoku Sunshine Rabbits, picked up the Guard of the Year of Japan Basketball League.
She also earned a spot in the First Team.
Tsuno's exceptional play earned her the third spot in assists per game, boasting an impressive average of over 5.
She also registered 11 points per game that season in the league.
Tsuno has totalled 3 games of 20 or more points on the year.
Her 25 points against the Eneos Sunflowers were the most she scored in the 25 26 season.
Ashten Prechtel, 24-year old American power forward from the Eneos Sunflowers, was named the Forward of the Year at the Japan Basketball League.
She graduated from Stanford three years ago.
Prechtel was also voted to the First Team.
She orchestrated her way to the fifth spot in rebounds per game, showcasing a dazzling average of almost 9.
Prechtel also had almost 13 points per game over the season in the league.
She has totalled 6 games of 20 or more points and recorded double-doubles in 9 games on the year.
Prechtel's 30 points against the Oda Haneda Vickies were the most she scored in the 25 26 season.
Prechtel's team won the Japanese Cup earlier this year.
Marvelous Nwoko, 24-year old Nigerian power forward from the Chanson V-Magic, was selected to the First Team of Japan Basketball League.
She conducted her way to the second position in averaging a commendable over 10 rebounds per game.
Nwoko also averaged over 11 points per game in the league.
She has totalled 3 games of 20 or more points and logged double-doubles in 10 games on the year.
Nwoko's 25 points against the Eneos Sunflowers were the most she scored in the 25 26 season.
Shiori Yasuma, 31-year old point guard from the Toyota Antelopes, was chosen to the First Team at the Japan Basketball League.
Her best performance made her team reach the finals but they unfortunately were defeated by the Denso Iris 1 to 3.
With finesse and precision, Yasuma claimed the fourth position in assists per game, delivering a stellar almost 5 assists per game average.
Yasuma also registered over 10 points per game that season in the league.
Her 24 points against the Toyota Boshoku Sunshine Rabbits were the most she scored in the 25 26 season.
Among many awards she was selected to the Eurobasket All-German DBBL First Team back in 2022.
She was also selected as the Asia-Basket All-Japanese WJBL Honorable Mention between 2020 and 2021.
