Shinshu celebrated B2 title. They toppled Gunma to sweep the Finals. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Gunma won fourth quarter 19-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Shinshu BW shot the lights out from three nailing 19 long-distance shots on high 52.8 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) had a double-double by scoring 31 points and 14 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and guard Kaito Ishikawa (188-90) chipped in 21 points and 9 assists during the contest. Point guard Masashi Obuchi (182-83) responded with 26 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit Mercy) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Shimane clinched third spot as they swept the consolation finals versus Kumamoto. Shimane Magic made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. Hungarian-American Rosco Allen (208-93, college: Stanford, agency: Pensack Sports) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line).
