Okinawa Golden Kings clinch BJ League title - May 25, 2014

The Okinawa Golden Kings are crowned the BJ League champions. They fired past the Akita Northern Happinets in the Final tonight. Ryuichi Kishimoto (176-G-90) unleashed 34 points and grabbed 5 boards to pace the winners. He was named the MVP after the game.
The scoreboard read 24:24 after the opening quarter. The Golden Kings fired 31 points in the second period to gain the lead. Akita went on a fierce 20:4 run in the third term to clear off for good in this one. Draelon Burns (194-G-85, college: De Paul) connected for 21 points, while Narito Namizato (172-G-89), Anthony McHenry (202-SF-83, college: Georgia Tech) and Kibwe Trim (208-F/C-84, college: Sacred Heart) added 14 points each for the winners. Yuki Togashi (170-PG-93) responded with 30 points for the Northern Happinets. Richard Roby (198-G/F-85) had 17 points in the defeat.
