Chiba Jets clinch the Emperor's Cup title in Tokyo. In the Final game they overcame Ryukyu Golden Kings 87:76.
Chiba Jets opened the game with a 19-15 lead at the start and led 7 points at the halftime. Moreover, they posted a narrow 20-19 rally in the third quarter and closed the game with a final 21-18 run. Shuta Hara (187-SG-1993) stepped up with 20 points for the winners. John Mooney (206-F-1998, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) added 17 points and 12 rebounds in the win. Keita Imamura (191-G/F-1996) replied with 17 points for Ryukyu.
