Al-Difaa signs Darius Johnson-Odom, ex Orleans

Al-Difaa Aljawie (Superleague) signed experienced 34-year old American point guard Darius Johnson-Odom (187cm-98kg-1989, college: Marquette) for upcoming 2024-25 season. He was best passer at Entente Orleans 45 in French ProB last season where in 16 games he had 13.9ppg, 2.4rpg, 6.4apg and 1.0spg. 2023-24 was a great season as he was named to Eurobasket.com French ProB All-Imports Team, League Player of the Week and Eurobasket.com All-French ProB First Team.
The previous (2022-23) season he was tested by CS Rapid Bucuresti (Liga Nationala) in Romanian league. He also played 3 games in Romanian Liga Nationala where he recorded 14.0ppg, 2.7rpg, 4.0apg and 2.3spg in that year.
In 2012 he was drafted by Dallas Mavericks (NBA) in second round (55th overall). Johnson-Odom graduated from Marquette University and it will be his 13th (hopefully lucky) season in pro basketball.
He is quite experienced player. Johnson-Odom has played in ten different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in China (Blue Whales), Greece (Olympiacos), Italy (Cantu, Reggio Emilia, Sassari and Cremona), Romania, Russia (Spartak), Turkey (Trabzonspor), NBA (Philadelphia 76ers and Minnesota Timberwolves), NBA G League (Springfield A. and Iowa Wolves) and The Basketball Tournament (Golden Eagles and Loyalty is Love).
Among many awards he won The Basketball Tournament championship title in 2020. Johnson-Odom was also USBasket.com TBT All-Tournament Team back in 2020.
