Superleague Round 20 (Regular Season): Dijlah is defeated by Al-Hashd in a derby game

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Baghdad: Al-Hashd (#8) and Dijlah (#5). Al-Hashd (6-10) won against visiting Dijlah (8-5) 88-84. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Dijlah. Al-Hashd moved-up to seventh place. Dijlah at the other side keeps the fifth position with five games lost.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Al Karkh. 4th ranked host Al Karkh (9-5) lost to first ranked Al-Difaa (13-2) 88-75. Newly promoted Al-Difaa maintains first position with 13-2 record. Al Karkh at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fourth place with five games lost.

In the last two games of round 20 bottom-ranked Nift Al-Shamal lost to Al Kahraba on the opponent's court 69-75. Zakho unfortunately lost to Al Shurtah in a home game 61-69.

Al Kahraba - Nift Al-Shamal 75-69

Very expected game in Baghdad where 11th ranked Nift Al-Shamal (2-10) was defeated by sixth ranked Al Kahraba (6-8) 75-69. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Al Kahraba maintains sixth position with 6-8 record. Nift Al-Shamal at the other side stay at the bottom place with ten games lost.

Zakho - Al Shurtah 61-69

Very predictable result when third ranked Al Shurtah (10-3) defeated on the road 9th ranked Zakho (3-9) 69-61. Al Shurtah have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 10-3 record having five points less than leader Al-Difaa. Zakho at the other side keeps the ninth place with nine games lost.
