Superleague Round 14 (Regular Season): Al Naft is defeated by Dijlah in a derby game

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Baghdad: Dijlah (#5) and Al Naft (#3). Dijlah (6-4) smashed visiting Al Naft (7-3) by 19 points 82-63. Dijlah maintains fifth position with 6-4 record. Defending champion Al Naft keeps the third place with three games lost. They share the position with Al Shurtah.
Superleague top team - Al-Difaa (11-1) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat ninth ranked Ghaz Al-Shamal (3-8) 77-68. Al-Difaa have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Al-Difaa maintains first position with 11-1 record. Ghaz Al-Shamal at the other side keeps the ninth place with eight games lost.

In the last game of round 14 Al-Hashd won against Nift Al-Shamal on the opponent's court 78-73.

They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Al Hilla. Nift Al-Shamal lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with nine games lost.
