The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeated Al-Difaa (8-1) in Baghdad on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by tenth ranked Al-Hashd (3-7) 89-83. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Al-Difaa. Al-Hashd moved-up to ninth place. Newly promoted Al-Difaa still keeps top position with one game lost.
Important game to mention about took place in Baghdad. Third ranked Al Shurtah (7-3) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 5th ranked Dijlah (5-4) 77-74 on Thursday evening. Al Shurtah maintains third position with 7-3 record behind leader Al-Difaa. Dijlah at the other side keeps the fifth place with four games lost.
A very close game took place in Al Hilla between Al Hilla and Dijlah. Eighth ranked Al Hilla (4-6) got a very close home victory over 5th ranked Dijlah (5-4). Al Hilla managed to escape with a 3-point win 85-82 on Monday evening. Al Hilla moved-up to seventh place. Loser Dijlah keeps the fifth position with four games lost.

In the last two games of round 12 bottom-ranked Nift Al-Shamal lost to Al Karkh on the opponent's court 64-73. Al Karkh managed to outperform Zakho in a home game 85-78.




Al Shurtah - Dijlah 77-74

Very expected game when 11th ranked Nift Al-Shamal (1-8) was defeated on the road by third ranked Al Karkh (7-2) 73-64 on Friday. Al Karkh moved-up to second place. Nift Al-Shamal lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with eight games lost.
