Mohammad Shaher (ex Orthodox) agreed terms with Al Karkh

Newly promoted Al Karkh (Superleague) has signed 33-year-old Jordanian international Mohammad Shaher Hussein, a 210cm center.

Hussein last season for Orthodox in the Jordanian Premier League, where he averaged 13.5ppg, 8.6rpg, 2.5apg, and 1.1spg in 22 games last season.

He helped his team win the cup and reach the league final, earning him the title of Asia-Basket.com All-Jordanian Premier League Center of the Year.

Additionally, he played 8 games in the West Asia Super League, averaging 11.0ppg, 4.5rpg, 1.5apg, and 1.1spg. In the previous summer of 2022, he played for another Jordanian team, Al Wihdat, in the Premier League.

He has also been a member of the Jordanian international program for several years. He has played regularly for the Jordanian senior team since 2010 and previously for the U18 National Team in 2008.


Last year, he represented Jordan at the FIBA Asia Cup in Jakarta, Indonesia. His team reached the Semifinals, and his statistics for the event were as follows: 6 games played, averaging 3.7 points per game and 2.3 rpg.
He has also played professionally in Morocco for FUS Rabat, in Jordan for Al Ahli, Zain, Al Awdah, and ASU Sports Club, and in Saudi Arabia for Al Arabi.
