Superleague Round 6 (Regular Season): Al-Hashd is defeated by Al Shurtah in a derby game

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Baghdad: Al Shurtah (#5) and Al-Hashd (#8). Al Shurtah (3-2) won against visiting Al-Hashd (1-5) 95-80. Al Shurtah moved-up to fourth place. Al-Hashd at the other side keeps the eighth position with five games lost. They share it with Ghaz Al-Shamal and Nift Al-Shamal.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Al Karkh. Top-ranked host Al Karkh (5-0) smashed 4th ranked Al Hilla (2-3) 89-55. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Al Hilla. Undefeated Al Karkh have an impressive five-game winning streak. Newly promoted Al Karkh maintains second position with 5-0 record behind leader Al Naft. Al Hilla at the other side dropped to the fifth place with three games lost. They share the position with Al Kahraba.
