Al Naft Baghdad lost to US Select team in pre-season scrimmage game 101-91. US Select team started the game with a 20-18 surge and never looked behind. They added a 36-28 rally in the last quarter and posted win. Ty Jordan (190-G-1996, college: Malone) was the best scorer of the game with 29 points, George A. Williams II (198-G-1990, college: WBU) had 28 and Chris Brown (210-C, college: Oregon St.) added 23 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winners. Al Naft was carried by Elijah Thomas (206-F-1996, college: Clemson, agency: MSG) who registered double-double of 29 points and 10 rebounds. Antwaine Wiggins (203-F-1988, college: Charleston) added 21 points and Samir Ali Hussein (200-C-1992) 16.
