Al-Hashd Social Sports Club (Superleague) tabbed 30-year old Canadian 193cm guard Gentrey Thomas (college: UC Riverside) for upcoming 2023-24 season.

Thomas will still stay in Iraq where he played most recently at Air Defence Sporting Club in the .
The previous (2021-22) season he played at Al Naft. He helped them to win the League title.


Thomas has played previously professionally in United Kingdom (Flyers) and Canada (Moncton Magic, Bandits and Rattlers).


He was voted to All-SWAC Honorable Mention back in 2014.
Thomas graduated from University of California Riverside in 2017 and it will be his seventh season as a professional player. He played also for Snow College for 2 years.
