Wiggins is back at Al Naft, ex Al Ittihad

Al Naft Baghdad (Superleague) agreed terms with experienced 34-year old American forward Antwaine Wiggins (203cm-1988, college: Charleston) for upcoming 2023-24 season. It is actually his comeback to Baghdad as he has played here before. Wiggins was about to sign at Al Ittihad in Syrian SBL league.
In 2016 (four years after his graduation) he was drafted by Raptors 905 (D-League) in second round (43rd overall).
He graduated from College of Charleston in 2012 and it will be his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball.
Wiggins is quite experienced player. He has played in six different countries on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and of course North America). Wiggins has played previously professionally in Argentina (Platense), Brazil (Palmeiras), Greece (PAOK Mateco Thessaloniki, Lavrio and Ifaistos), Qatar (Al Ahli), Libya (Ahly Benghazi) and NBA G League (Raptors 905 Missisauga). He won Iraqi League championship title in 2023. Wiggins was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Greek A1 Honorable Mention back in 2018 and 2020.
