Al Karkh - Nift Al-Shamal 60-83 Very important is a home loss of third ranked Al Karkh (6-8) against sixth ranked Nift Al-Shamal (6-9) on Friday night. Host Al Karkh was crushed by Nift Al-Shamal in Al Karkh 83-60. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Al Karkh. Nift Al-Shamal moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Al Kahraba. Newly promoted Al Karkh keeps the third position with eight games lost. They share it with Ghaz Al-Shamal. Zakho maintains second position with 8-4 record having just two points less than leader Al Naft, which they share with Al-Hashd and Dijlah. Al Kahraba at the other side dropped to the fifth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Nift Al-Shamal. Zakho will meet league's leader Al Naft in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Al Kahraba will have a break next round. Al Shorta - Al-Tadamoun 116-79 The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Al Shorta as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Al Shorta smashed 6th ranked Al-Tadamoun in Baghdad 116-79. Al Shorta (11-0) have an impressive 11-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Al-Tadamoun lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 14 games lost. Dijlah - Al Hilla 97-87 The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Al Hilla's (2-11) road loss to fourth ranked Dijlah (8-4) 87-97 on Saturday. Dijlah have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Zakho and Al-Hashd. Al Hilla lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 11 games lost. Al Hilla - Al-Tadamoun 72-82 We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when sixth ranked Al-Tadamoun (2-14) defeated on the road 5th ranked Al Hilla (2-11) 82-72 on Monday. Al-Tadamoun maintains sixth position with 2-14 record. Al Hilla lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 11 games lost. |
