Al Karkh adds Cupkovic to their roster, ex Slodes BG

Newly promoted Al-Karkh (Superleague) added to their roster experienced 34-year old Serbian power forward Slaven Cupkovic (205cm-105kg-1988). Cupkovic already started the season at KK Slodes SoccerBet Beograd in Serbian 2MLS. In 5 games he recorded very impressive stats: 18.8ppg, 5.6rpg and 4.0apg.
He was a member of Serbian U20 National Team back in 2008.
Cupkovic is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Greece (Aris, Panionios, Kolossos H Hotels Rodou, Trikala and Kymis), Hungary (Alba), Kuwait (Burgan), Poland (HydroTruck), Serbia (Masinac, KK Sloga Societe Generale Kraljevo, KK Napredak Rubin Krusevac and Ribnica) and North Macedonia (Kozuv).
His team made it to the Greek League Semifinals in 2016.
On Cupkovic: Slaven is modern power forward - standing and playing from the position 1 he can shoot with high percent, he can penetrate every tall guy, can easily assist due to his height, can transfer the ball and play either pick'n'roll or pick'n'pop! There is no way you can easily defend this big guy! Cupkovic is unbelievable scorer and can practically shoot from each situation, no matter if it is for 2 or 3 points, from fade-away or over the player. He needs a little space to score, shouldn't be left alone. Cupkovic is one of the top players of Serbian 1st League. His natural body strength and height of 6'9' allows him to post every #PF or even #C player, and also provides him high jump and easy rebounding.
