Al Naft - Al Kahraba 85-83 The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Al Naft as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Al Naft edged 6th ranked Al Kahraba in Baghdad 85-83. Al Naft have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with ADSC. Al Kahraba at the other side keeps the sixth place with six games lost. Al Kahraba will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Al Naft will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Al-Hashd. It will be extra interesting game as Al-Hashd is their local rival from Baghdad. Dijlah - Al Karkh 77-59 Rather expected game in Baghdad where 5th ranked Al Karkh (2-4) was defeated by third ranked Dijlah (2-2) 77-59 on Tuesday. Despite that victory Dijlah went down to fourth position due to points difference. Newly promoted Al Karkh keeps the fifth place with four games lost. Dijlah's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Baghdad to the arena Al Shorta. Al Kahraba - ADSC 82-84 Important game to mention about took place in Baghdad. First ranked ADSC (6-1) saved a 2-point derby victory on the road edging 6th ranked Al Kahraba (2-6) 84-82 on Wednesday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. ADSC have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted ADSC maintains first position with 6-1 record, which they share with Al Naft. Al Kahraba at the other side keeps the sixth place with six games lost. ADSC will play against Al Karkh (#5) on the road in the next round. Al Kahraba will have a break next round. Dijlah - Al-Hashd 60-62 A very close game took place in Baghdad between Al-Hashd and Dijlah. Fourth ranked Al-Hashd (3-2) got a very close victory on the road over one of their biggest challengers Dijlah (2-2). Al-Hashd managed to escape with a 2-point win 62-60 in the game for the third place. Al-Hashd moved-up to third place. Loser Dijlah dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. Al-Hashd's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Baghdad Al Naft. |
