Air Defence Sporting Club tabs Ihab Al-Zuhairi

Ihab Al-Zuhairi

Newly promoted Air Defence Sporting Club (Superleague) inked 24-year old Iraqi international 210cm center Ihab Al-Zuhairi. Al-Zuhairi played this summer at Larranaga in Uruguayan Metropolitan. In 12 games just recently he averaged 12.7ppg, 10.7rpg, 2.4apg, 1.2spg and 1.1bpg. Good season as he was voted League Player of the Week. The last season he played at Al Naft. He helped them to win the Iraqi League title.
Al-Zuhairi has been also a member of Iraqi international program for some years. He has regularly played for Iraqi senior team since 2016 and previously for U18 National Team back in 2016.
Al-Zuhairi represented Iraq at the West Asia Basketball Championship in Amman (Jordan) five years ago. His stats at that event were 4 games: 0.5ppg.
He has played previously for two other Iraqi teams: Al Hilla and Al Karkh. Al-Zuhairi was selected to Asia-Basket.com All-Iraqi League Center of the Year in 2018, 2019 and 2021.
