Mambi Diawara
Al Shorta Police (Superleague) added to their roster 27-year old Canadian-Mali ex-international guard Mambi Diawara (198cm-82kg-1994, college: Calgary) for season 2022-2023. Diawara played last season at Al Hilla. The last summer he played at Saskatchewan (CEBL) in Canadian league where in 14 games he recorded 7.3ppg, 3.4rpg and 1.4apg in 2021 season.
He
also represented Canada at the World University Games in Napoli (Italy)
three years ago. His stats at that event were 6 games: 10.5ppg, 4.8rpg,
Assists-5 (3.7apg), FGP: 35.3%, 3PT: 33.3%, FT: 57.7%.
Diawara is
quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in
Argentina, Finland (Seagulls), Romania (Miercurea Ciuc) and Canada
(Edmonton).
Diawara graduated from University of Calgary in 2019 and it will be his fourth season as a professional player.
