Zakho (#5) was upset in Basra by eighth ranked Nift Al-Basra 74-61. Nift Al-Basra (9-6) moved-up to sixth place. Zakho at the other side keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. Nift Al-Basra will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Zakho will play against Al-Semawah (#11) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Superleague top team - Al Naft (20-0) managed to deliver another win on Wednesday. This time they beat seventh ranked Al-Tadamoun (9-11) in Baghdad 88-76. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Al-Tadamoun. Undefeated Al Naft have an impressive series of twenty victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 20-0 record. Loser Al-Tadamoun keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with Ghaz Al-Shamal.

In the last game of round 27 Al Hilla lost to Al-Jameaa on the opponent's court 70-87.
