Superleague Round 13: Zakho defeat Ghaz Al-Shamal in the closest game of the week- December 10, 2021
Coincidentally all visitors won their games. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
Ghaz Al-Shamal - Zakho 66-67 The most exciting game of round 13 in the Superleague took place in Kirku. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 5th ranked Ghaz Al-Shamal (5-6) to fourth ranked Zakho (6-3) 67-66 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Ghaz Al-Shamal. Zakho have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Ghaz Al-Shamal at the other side dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. Zakho are looking forward to face Al-Jameaa (#4) in the next round. Ghaz Al-Shamal will play against Al Shorta and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win. Al-Hashd - Al Naft 52-67 Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Baghdad: Al Naft (#1) and Al-Hashd (#3). Al-Hashd was defeated at home 52-67 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for Al Naft. Defending champion maintains first place with 9-0 record. Al-Hashd at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Al-Jameaa. Nift Al-Shamal - Al-Jameaa 85-89 Very expected game in Kirkuk where 13th ranked Nift Al-Shamal (1-9) was defeated by sixth ranked Al-Jameaa (5-3) 89-85. Al-Jameaa moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Al-Hashd. Nift Al-Shamal lost their fourth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Al-Jameaa will play against league's second-placed Zakho on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nift Al-Shamal will have a break next round. |
