Al Hilla inks Mambi Diawara, ex Saskatchewan

He played last summer at Saskatchewan in Canadian CEBL. In 14 games he had 7.3ppg, 3.4rpg, and 1.4apg. The last season he played at Seagulls in Finnish Korisliiga where in 10 games he recorded 5.2ppg, 2.5rpg, and 1.0apg.

He also represented Canada at the World University Games in Napoli (Italy) two years ago. His stats at that event were 6 games: 10.5ppg, 4.8rpg, Assists-5 (3.7apg), FGP: 35.3%, 3PT: 33.3%, FT: 57.7%.

Diawara has played also professionally in Argentina and Romania (Miercurea Ciuc).

The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he won the CEBL Summer Series championship title in 2020. He was voted All-Canada West Player of the Year and was selected to U Sports All-Canadian 1st Team in 2019.

Diawara attended the University of Calgary until 2019 and it will be his third season as a professional player.
