The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeated Al Naft (14-1) on the court of seventh ranked Nift Al-Basra on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Nift Al-Basra 70-57. It ended at the same time the 14-game winning streak of Al Naft. Nift Al-Basra held Al Naft to an opponent 0.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 0.0 percent accuracy of the winners. American guard Demarius Bolds (193-84, college: MWSU) stepped up and scored 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds for the winners and international center Ali Hameed (208-84) chipped in 11 points and 17 rebounds. The best for the losing side was the former international point guard Kevin Galloway (200-88, college: Texas Southern) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Nift Al-Basra (6-5) moved-up to fifth place. Defending champion Al Naft still keeps top position with one game lost. Nift Al-Basra will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Al Naft will play on the road against Al Hilla and is hoping to win this game.

Nift Al-Basra (6-5) moved-up to fifth place. Defending champion Al Naft still keeps top position with one game lost. Nift Al-Basra will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Al Naft will play on the road against Al Hilla and is hoping to win this game.
