Best players of Iraqi Superleague round 19 (by Hoops Agents)

Ala'A Al-Saedi had a great game in the last round for AL-Adhamiya and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 19.
The had a double-double of 27 points and fourteen rebounds, while his team crushed Ghaz Al-Shamal (2-11) with 19-point margin 74-55. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. AL-Adhamiya is placed at 10th position in Iraqi Superleague. The season is in a full swing, so it's only a dream for the team to make it into top half of the standings. For contrary they may face relegation if the situation turns from bad to worse. AL-Adhamiya have already lost 11 games and recorded just two victories. Al-Saedi turned to be AL-Adhamiya's top player in his first season with the team. The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 28-year old former international forward Thulfiqar Hammoodi (196-F-92) of Al-Hashd. Hammoodi impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 28 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Al-Hashd was edged by slightly higher-ranked Al Shorta (#2, 12-1) 85-82. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Al-Hashd still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 10-3 record is not bad at all. Hammoodi is a newcomer at Al-Hashd and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.3ppg (#6). He also registered 9.2 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was former international center Ihab Al-Zuhairi (209-C-98) of top-ranked Al Naft. Al-Zuhairi scored 17 points and grabbed sixteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Al Naft, leading his team to a 93-76 easy win against #4 ranked Al Kahraba. Al Naft have amazing season winning all 14 games without a single defeat. Al-Zuhairi turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Al-Zuhairi has a great season in Iraq. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.3ppg (9th best) and rebounds with 12.0rpg (#1 in league).
