Iraqi Superleague round 2 best performance: Murad Zewki

Murad Zewki put on an amazing game in the last round for Zakho, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
The player had a double-double of 22 points and 18 rebounds, while his team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team AL-Adhamiya (#9, 0-2) with 25-point margin 86-61. Thanks to this victory Zakho moved-up to the 8th position in Iraqi Superleague. Zakho is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-1 record. It's Zewki's second year at Zakho and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Murad Zewki has solid league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 13.5rpg).

The second best player in last round's games was another Zakho's star - 25-year old American Arlando Cook (203-C-95). Cook had a very good evening with a double-double of 30 points and 13 rebounds. Of course together with Zewki he helped Zakho with another comfortable win outscoring AL-Adhamiya (0-2) 86-61. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Cook is a newcomer at Zakho, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.0ppg (#3). He also registered 12.0 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Kevin Galloway (200-PG-88) of league's second-best Al Naft. Galloway showcased his all-around game by recording 19 points, nine rebounds and seven assists in the last round. He was a key player of Al Naft, leading his team to a 86-61 easy win against Ghaz Al-Shamal (#10, 0-2). Al Naft has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Galloway also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Galloway has a great season in Iraq. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.5ppg (7th best) and assists with 5.0apg (3rd best). Kevin Galloway has also Iraqi passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.
