Nift Al-Janoub welcomes back Bolds, ex GS Petroliers

Nift Al-Janoub (Superleague) tabbed experienced 36-year old American guard Demarius Bolds (193-88kg-84, college: MWSU). It is actually his comeback to Basra as he has played here before. Bolds played most recently at GS Petroliers in Algerian D1 league. He also played for Atlas (LBL) in Lebanese league. But in only one game he had just point, 4 rebounds and 1 assist last season. Bolds also spent pre-season at Al Shurtah that year.
Bolds is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in ten different countries playing on three different continents. He is familiar with European, Asian and of course North American leagues. Bolds has played previously professionally in Bahrain (Muharraq), Greece (AS Apollon Patras, Lavrio and Kymis), Lithuania (Lietkabelis), Qatar (Al Rayyan and Al Wakrah), Romania (Targu Jiu), Turkey (Final Spor), United Kingdom (London Lions), Lebanon (Champville and Al Moutahed), Czech Republic (Kolin) and ABA (St.Louis S.).
Among many awards he received Asia-Basket.com All-Gulf Coast Championships 1st Team award in 2018.
It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Nift Al-Janoub.
Bolds attended previously one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on he way to pro basketball.
He attended Missouri Western State University until 2006 and it will be his 15th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
Let's have closer look into Bolds' outlook: A very athletic combo guard who does everything.
He is a great slasher to the basket and finishes above the rim with either hand.
Defensively he is a star who plays with a lot of intensity.
He is a big time talent and a great all around player who can do it all.
