Ali Hameed joins Nift Al-Janoub

Nift Al-Janoub (Superleague) agreed terms with experienced 36-year old international center Ali Hameed (208-93kg-84). He played last season at Duhok. In 11 Superleague games he had 7.9ppg, 8.5rpg, 1.2apg and 2.7bpg.
The previous (18-19) season Hameed played at Al Naft. He helped them to win the league title despite they ended the regular season at the second place. A very impressive season as he was voted Asia-Basket.com All-Iraqi League Defensive Player of the Year and named to Honorable Mention.
Hameed also played at the WABA Club Championships last year.
He has spent his entire career in Iraq playing for two other teams: Al Hilla and Al Mina.
It's very possible he may end his playing career at Nift Al-Janoub.
