Al Naft keeps Al-Zuhairi for another season

Defending champion Al Naft Baghdad (Superleague) re-signed 22-year old international center Ihab Al-Zuhairi (209-98). He played there last season. In 9 Superleague games he averaged 11.9ppg, 12.0rpg, 1.9apg and 1.8bpg. Al-Zuhairi helped them to win the regular season. Good year as he was selected League Player of the Week (2 times).
The previous (18-19) season he played at Al Karkh (IBL). It was a very successful season in his career as he was awarded Asia-Basket.com All-Iraqi League Center of the Year, selected to 1st Team and selected to All-Domestic Players Team.
Al-Zuhairi has been also a member of Iraqi international program for some years. He has regularly played for Iraqi senior team since 2016 and previously for U18 National Team in 2016.
Al-Zuhairi represented Iraq at the West Asia Basketball Championships in Amman (Jordan) three years ago. His stats at that event were 4 games: 0.5ppg.
Al-Zuhairi has played previously for played also at Al Hilla.
