Iraqi Superleague round 4 best performance: Chris Johnson

American Guard Chris Johnson (192-G-91) had a great game in the last round for top-ranked Duhok, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 28-year old player had a double-double of 40 points and 10 rebounds, while his team outclassed Ghaz Al-Shamal (#7, 2-3) with 27-point margin 92-65. It allowed Duhok to take over top position in the Iraqi Superleague. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Duhok already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. Johnson turned to be Duhok's top player in his first season with the team. Former St. Catharine College star has very solid stats this year. Johnson is in league's top in points (3rd best: 25.7ppg).

The second best player in last round's games was 28-year old American Jeffery Stubbs (189-PG-91) of Al Mina. Stubbs had a very good evening with a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds. Of course he led Al Mina to another comfortable win outscoring Al-Khtot Al-Jawiya (#12, 0-4) 81-54. This victory allowed Al Mina to move up to 3rd position in the standings. His team's 3-1 record is not bad at all. Stubbs is a newcomer at Al Mina, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 33.5ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 7.0rpg and 6.5apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was former international forward Ali Ismael (199-F-94) of league's second-best Al Naft. Ismael showcased his all-around game by recording 18 points, fifteen rebounds (!!!) and five assists in the last round. He was a key player of Al Naft, leading his team to a 90-72 easy win against the lower-ranked Al-Tadamoun (#6, 2-1). Al Naft started extremely well this year. They recorded 3 victories without losing a single game. Ismael turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. The season just started for Ismael as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.
