Al Shurtah signs Demarius Bolds, ex Champville

Demarius Bolds

Al Shurtah Police (Superleague) signed experienced 35-year old American guard Demarius Bolds (193-88kg-84, college: Missouri Western).
Bolds played last season at Champville in Lebanese LBL league. In 13 games he had 11.7ppg, 3.1rpg, 2.2apg and 1.6spg. He helped them to win the regular season and make it to the semifinals. Bolds also played for GS Kymis (C) in Greek league where in 6 games he recorded 10.8ppg, 4.0rpg, 2.3apg and 1.7spg.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted Asia-Basket.com All-Gulf Coast Championships 1st Team in 2018.
Bolds is quite experienced player. He has played in twelve different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). Bolds has played previously professionally in Bahrain (Muharraq), Lithuania (Lietkabelis), Qatar (Al Rayyan and Al Wakrah), Romania (Targu Mures), Turkey (Final Spor), United Kingdom (London Lions), Greece (AS Apollon Patras and Lavrio), Czech Republic (BK Kolin), Kosovo (Bashkimi), Lebanon (Al Moutahed), ABA (St.Louis S.) and Iraq (Nift Al-Janoub).
It's very possible he may end his playing career at Al Shurtah.
Bolds is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league on the market.
He attended Missouri Western State College until 2006 and it will be his 14th (!!!) season as a professional player.
Bolds could be described: A very athletic combo guard who does everything.
He is a great slasher to the basket and finishes above the rim with either hand.
Defensively he is a star who plays with a lot of intensity.
He is a big time talent and a great all around player who can do it all.
