RAVERN JOHNSON

Nift Al-Janoub (IBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 30-year old American guard Ravern Johnson (200-79kg-88, college: Mississippi State). He played most recently at Larre Borges in Uruguayan Metropolitan. he averaged very impressive stats: 16.4ppg, 2.8rpg and 2.2apg last season.
In 2014 (three years after he left the college) Johnson was drafted by Reno Bighorns (D-League) in fourth round (65th overall).
He attended Mississippi State until 2011 and it is his eighth season in pro basketball.
Johnson has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2012.
Among other achievements his team was regular season runner-up in SEC West Division in 2011. Johnson received also Asia-Basket.com All-Iraqi League Swingman of the Year award in 2017.
He is a very experienced player. Thanks to Johnson's pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America) in six different countries. Johnson has played previously professionally in Finland (Kauhajoki), Greece, Italy, Luxembourg (Contern), Iraq (Al Karkh) and NBA G League (Stockton Kings).
