Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Basra: Al Mina (#6) and Nift Al-Janoub (#4). Nift Al-Janoub was defeated at home 86-96 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Al Mina maintains sixth position with 8-10 record. Nift Al-Janoub at the other side keeps the fourth place with seven games lost. Al Mina are looking forward to face Al-Khtot Al-Jawiya (#10) in Baghdad in the next round. Nift Al-Janoub will play on the road against Al-Tadamoun (#8) in Najef and is hoping to win this game.
An interesting game for Al Naft (16-2) which played road game in Al Karkh against second-ranked Al Karkh (16-3). Third ranked Al Naft managed to get a 10-point victory 90-80. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Al Karkh. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Al Naft have an impressive 12-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place. Al Karkh at the other side dropped to the third position with three games lost. Al Naft will play against Al Hilla (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Al Karkh will play against Al-Tadamoun (#8) in Najef and hopes to get back on the winning track.
IBL top team - Al Shurtah (17-2) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Al-Tadamoun (6-12) in Baghdad 97-78. Al Shurtah have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 17-2 record. Loser Al-Tadamoun keeps the eighth place with 12 games lost. Al Shurtah's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Baghdad .

In the last two games of round 20 Al-Khtot Al-Jawiya was beaten by Zakho on the road 107-89. Al Kahraba won against Al Hilla on its own court 78-67.

Zakho - Al-Khtot Al-Jawiya 107-89

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Zakho (7-11) beat at home 10th ranked Al-Khtot Al-Jawiya (3-15) 107-89 on Tuesday. Zakho have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Zakho maintains seventh position with 7-11 record. Al-Khtot Al-Jawiya lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 15 games lost. Zakho will meet at home higher ranked Al Kahraba (#5) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Al-Khtot Al-Jawiya will play against Al Mina (#6) in Basra and hope to secure a win.
