Defending champion Al Naft Baghdad (IBL) inked 29-year old American shooting guard Charlie Westbrook (193-90kg-89, college: S.Dakota). He joins another USA player Tayloe Taylor which is already in the roster.
Westbrook supposed to play at Miasto Szkla in Polish EBL league, but released in Nov.'18. In 8 games he averaged 9.4ppg, 2.5rpg, 1.6apg and 1.6spg this season. The last summer he played at Team in U.S. semi-pro league TBT.
Westbrook received All-GWC 1st Team award back in 2011 at his college time.
Westbrook is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to seven different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Westbrook has played previously professionally in Argentina (Sionista), France (Hyeres-Toulon), Italy (Tezenis Verona), NBA (Milwaukee Bucks), NBA G League (Sioux Falls Skyforce) and Iraq (Al Shurtah).
He attended University of South Dakota until 2012 and it is his seventh season in pro basketball.
