Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The game in Zakho was quite interesting. Third ranked Al Naft (8-2) played at the court of 8th ranked Zakho (2-8). Al Naft managed to secure a 4-point victory 85-81 on Monday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Zakho. Al Naft have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion maintains third place with 8-2 record having just two points less than leader Al Karkh. Newly promoted Zakho dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. They share it with Al-Khtot Al-Jawiya.
The game between sixth ranked Al Hilla (4-6) and 11th ranked AL-Adhamiya (1-9) in Al Hilla ended with biggest points difference. Al Hilla beat guests from Baghdad 73-55. Al Hilla maintains sixth place with 4-6 record. AL-Adhamiya lost eighth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with nine games lost.

In the last two games of round 11 Al-Khtot Al-Jawiya was beaten by Al-Tadamoun on the road 75-71. Al Shurtah won against Nift Al-Janoub on its own court 83-66.



Al Hilla - AL-Adhamiya 73-55

Al-Tadamoun - Al-Khtot Al-Jawiya 75-71

Everything could happen in Najef at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Al-Tadamoun and 8th ranked Al-Khtot Al-Jawiya had identical 2-7 record. This time Al-Tadamoun used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Baghdad 75-71. Al-Tadamoun (3-7) moved-up to eighth place. Al-Khtot Al-Jawiya lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. They share it with Zakho.

Rather expected game when 5th ranked Nift Al-Janoub (6-4) lost to second ranked Al Shurtah (9-1) in Baghdad 66-83. Al Shurtah maintains second place with 9-1 record behind leader Al Karkh. Nift Al-Janoub at the other side keeps the fifth position with four games lost.

Sammy Monroe (ex Homentmen) joins Ahli Shabab - 2 days ago
Defending champion Ahli Shabab Dubai (D1) added to their roster 33-year old American (has also Iraqi passport) forward Sammy Monroe (198-85, college: Newberry). He played recently at Homentmen in Lebanese LBL league. He helped them to make it to the Supercup final. The last season Monroe played at Al Gharafa in D1 where in 18 games he had very impressive stats: 20.3ppg, 10.1rpg, 5.8apg (top 4) and 1.8spg. IBL Round 13: Al Kahraba is defeated by Al Shurtah in a derby game - 4 days ago
Here is the last round review presented by ESL. The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Baghdad: Al Shurtah (#2) and Al Kahraba (#4). Al Kahraba was defeated at home 78-92 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Al Shurtah have a solid series of four victories in a row. Al Karkh adds Freeman to their roster, ex Halifax H. - 5 days ago
GABE FREEMAN Al Karkh (IBL) added to their roster 33-year old American forward Gabe Freeman (198-85). He joins another USA player Qiydar Davis which is already in the roster. Freeman just played at Halifax Hurricanes in Canadian NBL. In 13 NBL Canada games he recorded stats: 15.4ppg, 8.2rpg, 1.9apg and 1.0spg this season.
