Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

An interesting game for Al Karkh (9-0) which played road game in Baghdad against 3rd placed Al Naft (6-2). Leader Al Karkh managed to get a 5-point victory 86-81. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Al Naft. Undefeated Al Karkh have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 9-0 record. Defending champion Al Naft keeps the third position with two games lost. Al Karkh are looking forward to face AL-Adhamiya (#10) in Baghdad in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Al Naft will play at home against Al Hilla (#7) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
The game in Al Hilla was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Al Kahraba (6-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Al Hilla (3-5). Al Kahraba managed to secure a 4-point victory 63-59. Al Kahraba maintains fourth place with 6-3 record. Al Hilla at the other side keeps the seventh position with five games lost. Al Kahraba will play against bottom-ranked Zakho (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Al Hilla will play against Al Naft (#3) in Baghdad and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Najef was also quite interesting. Second ranked Al Shurtah (7-1) played at the court of 8th ranked Al-Tadamoun (2-6). Al Shurtah managed to secure a 4-point victory 82-78 on Friday. Al Shurtah maintains second place with 7-1 record having just three points less than leader Al Karkh. Loser Al-Tadamoun keeps the eighth position with six games lost. Al Shurtah will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Al-Tadamoun will play against Nift Al-Janoub (#5) in Basra and hope to secure a win.

Defending champion Ahli Shabab Dubai (D1) added to their roster 33-year old American (has also Iraqi passport) forward Sammy Monroe (198-85, college: Newberry). He played recently at Homentmen in Lebanese LBL league. He helped them to make it to the Supercup final. The last season Monroe played at Al Gharafa in D1 where in 18 games he had very impressive stats: 20.3ppg, 10.1rpg, 5.8apg (top 4) and 1.8spg. Here is the last round review presented by ESL. The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Baghdad: Al Shurtah (#2) and Al Kahraba (#4). GABE FREEMAN Al Karkh (IBL) added to their roster 33-year old American forward Gabe Freeman (198-85). He joins another USA player Qiydar Davis which is already in the roster. Freeman just played at Halifax Hurricanes in Canadian NBL. In 13 NBL Canada games he recorded stats: 15.4ppg, 8.2rpg, 1.9apg and 1.0spg this season.
