The round 7 was rather boring as all games ended with very predictable results. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

IBL top team - Al Karkh (7-0) had no problems winning another game on Monday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Al-Khtot Al-Jawiya (1-5) 140-90. Undefeated Al Karkh have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 7-0 record. Al-Khtot Al-Jawiya at the other side dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. Al Karkh are looking forward to face Al Kahraba (#4) in Baghdad in the next round. Al-Khtot Al-Jawiya will play at home against Al Hilla (#7) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Baghdad: Al Kahraba (#4) and AL-Adhamiya (#11). AL-Adhamiya was crushed at home by 26 points 53-79 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Al Kahraba maintains fourth place with 4-2 record. AL-Adhamiya lost their sixth game in a row. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with six games lost. Al Kahraba will play against league's leader Al Karkh at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. AL-Adhamiya's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Baghdad to the arena Al Naft.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 7: Al-Tadamoun lost to Al Mina on the opponent's court 59-70. Al Hilla unfortunately lost to Nift Al-Janoub in a home game 53-58. Al Shurtah managed to beat Zakho on the road 88-72.

Al Mina - Al-Tadamoun 70-59

Rather expected game in Basra where 8th ranked Al-Tadamoun (2-5) was defeated by fifth ranked Al Mina (3-3) 70-59. Al Mina maintains fifth place with 3-3 record. Al-Tadamoun at the other side keeps the eighth position with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

Al Hilla - Nift Al-Janoub 53-58

There was a small surprise when seventh ranked Nift Al-Janoub (2-3) defeated on the road 7th ranked Al Hilla (2-4) 58-53. Nift Al-Janoub moved-up to sixth place. Al Hilla at the other side keeps the seventh position with four games lost. Nift Al-Janoub will play against Zakho (#9) at home in the next round. Zakho - Al Shurtah 72-88

Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Zakho (1-4) was defeated at home by second ranked Al Shurtah (5-1) 88-72. Al Shurtah maintains second place with 5-1 record having just three points less than leader Al Karkh, which they share with Al Naft. Newly promoted Zakho dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. Al Shurtah will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Zakho will play on the road against Nift Al-Janoub (#6) in Basra to get more than just one victory in their record.
