There are only two more rounds left in the Second Stage in IBL. Coincidentally all hosts won their games. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Baghdad: Al Nift (#1) and Al Kahraba (#3). Al Nift (22-3) smashed visiting Al Kahraba (17-7) by 30 points 119-89. Defending champion maintains first position with 22-3 record. Al Kahraba lost third consecutive game. They keep the third place with seven games lost. Al Nift are looking forward to face Nift Al-Janoub (#4) in Basra in the next round. Al Kahraba will play at home against Al Karkh and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 8 Al Karkh was beaten by Al Shurtah on the road 94-82.

Al Shurtah - Al Karkh 94-82

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Al Shurtah (21-4) beat 5th ranked Al Karkh (12-12) in Baghdad 94-82 on Saturday. Al Shurtah have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 21-4 record having just twenty point less than leader Al Nift. Al Karkh at the other side keeps the fifth place with 12 games lost. Al Shurtah will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Al Karkh will play on the road against Al Kahraba (#3) in Baghdad and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
