    Cancelation of the 2019/20 season - Sep 3, 2020


    Given the continuation of the Corona pandemic and its negative impact on the overall public life and sporting life and not giving the green light from the health crisis cell by the start of sports activity and sports gatherings, in order not to remain confused forever, and the fact that this season is a season of transfers, and in order for sports clubs to prepare for the 2020 season / 2021 correctly and regularly
    The Iraqi Basketball Federation decided the following:
    1- Canceling the Iraqi Basketball League for the 2019/2020 season.
    2- The new league for the 2020/2021 season began on 11/1/2020.
    3- The transfer window for players opens from Saturday 5/9/2020 until 10/15/2020.
    4- The first technical consensus will be held with the sports clubs to discuss the proposals on Saturday 9/19/2020 at four o'clock in the afternoon at the Federation headquarters.
    5- The second technical meeting will be held with the sports clubs to confirm the proposals on Saturday 10/10/2020 at four o'clock in the afternoon at the Federation headquarters.
    6- The deadline for receiving the participation books in the premier league season 2020/2021 is on Saturday 10/10/2020.
    7- The establishment of the refresher tournament for the top four teams before the start of the Iraqi Premier League for the 2020/2021 season.
    The first winner will be the representative of Iraq in the Asian Club Championship.
    The second winner will be the representative of Iraq in the Arab Clubs Championship.
    In the event that two clubs participate in any of the tournaments, the third team is named.
    8- In the event that any club apologizes for participating in the Asian or Arab Clubs Championship, the Iraqi Basketball Federation shall name the best clubs at the level and most prepared at the time to participate.
