Best players of Iranian Superleague round 21

Sajjad Pazrofteh

International Forward Sajjad Pazrofteh (205-F-1996) had an amazing evening in the last round for Palayesh Naft Abadan and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 21.
The 29-year old forward had a double-double of 19 points and 18 rebounds, while his team beat Mahshahr (#11, 3-16) 76-61. Naft Abadan maintains the 5th position in Iranian Superleague. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Naft Abadan will need more victories to improve their 12-9 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Pazrofteh as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Pazrofteh has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 8.6rpg) and averages solid 57.7% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young point guard Mohammadamin Dehghanzadeh (185-PG-2002) of Raad Padafan Isfahan. Dehghanzadeh impressed basketball fans with 32 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Raad Padafan was edged by slightly lower-ranked Alborz (#10, 4-17) 85-84. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Raad Padafan keeps 9th position. 15 lost games are too many comparing to just five victories Raad Padafan managed to get this year. Dehghanzadeh is a newcomer at Raad Padafan and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Amir Taherkhani of Mahgol Alborz (#10). Taherkhani scored 22 points and passed 4 assists. He was a key player of Alborz, leading his team to a 85-84 win against slightly higher-ranked Raad Padafan (#9, 5-15). Alborz can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 4-17 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Taherkhani has a very solid season. In 15 games in Iran he scored 8.5ppg.

7. Sajjad Mashayekhi (180-PG-1994) of Tabiat - 23 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Arman Zanganeh) of Naft Abadan - 9 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists
9. Hosein Mirshekari) of Naft Zagros - 14 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Matin Jalalian) of Alborz - 16 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists
