The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of top-ranked Gorgan (11-3) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by third ranked Kalleh (11-3) 80-77. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Kalleh dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Gorgan's 34 and made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Kalleh looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for Serbian center Djordje Gagic (210-1990, agency: Alti Sport) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 12 rebounds. American point guard Dwight Buycks (191-1989, college: Marquette) helped adding 15 points, 8 rebounds and 13 assists. Kalleh's coach Farzad Kouhian used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American-Guinea-Bissau point guard Parrish Petty (185-1988, college: UTRGV) with 19 points and 6 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Kalleh moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Gorgan. Kalleh is looking forward to face Naft Abadan (#5) at home in the next round. Gorgan will play against Tabiat and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Raad Padafan. It was an exceptional evening for the former international Mohammad Jamshidi (199-1991, agency: BIG) who led the winners and scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Parsa Ghorban accounted for 13 points and 20 rebounds. point guard Mohammadamin Dehghanzadeh (185-2002) came up with 28 points and 4 assists for Raad Padafan in the defeat. Raad Padafan's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Naft Zagros maintains sixth place with 8-7 record. Raad Padafan at the other side keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. Naft Zagros will play against Mahshahr (#11) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Raad Padafan will play against the league's leader Esteghlal in Qeshm and hopes to get back on the winning track.
10th ranked Alborz (3-11) was outscored at home by second ranked Esteghlal (12-3) with the biggest margin this round 86-64 on Monday night. The best player for the winners was Ali Reza Sharifi who scored 25 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Matin Jalalian who recorded 14 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Esteghlal keeps a position of league leader. Alborz lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Mahshahr.
