Best players of Iranian Superleague round 12 (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced American Dwight Buycks (191-PG-1989) put on an amazing game in the last round for Kalleh Mazandaran Amol and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
The 36-year old playmaker got a double-double of 24 points and 11 assists, while his team edged out Esteghlal (#2, 11-3) 82-79. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Kalleh maintains the 3rd position in Iranian Superleague. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Kalleh will need more victories to improve their 10-3 record. In the team's last game Buycks had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Kalleh's top player in his first season with the team. Marquette University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Buycks is in league's top in points (5th best: 22.1ppg), assists (2nd best: 6.6apg) and averages solid 59.7% FGP and 53.6% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Reza Dost of Pas Kordestan. Dost impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 21 points and 11 assists. It was enough for Pas Kordestan to edge slightly lower-ranked Alborz (#10, 3-9) by 4 points 90-86. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Pas Kordestan keeps 9th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-9 record. Dost is a newcomer at Pas Kordestan and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Ramon Galloway (190-G-1991) of Mahgol Alborz (#10). Galloway got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. He went also for eleven rebounds . Despite Galloway's great performance the Alborz lost 86-90 to slightly higher-ranked Pas Kordestan (#9, 5-9). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Alborz can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 3-9 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Galloway has a very solid season. In 3 games in Iran he scored 29.7ppg.
