Superleague Round 4 of Regular Season

Superleague is at the halfway of the Regular Season and there are still another 4 rounds left. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most shocking disappointment of round 4 in the Superleague was a home defeat of 3rd ranked Pas Kordestan (2-2) by seventh ranked Tabiat (3-1) who outscored them by 28 points 92-64. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Tabiat moved-up to second place, which they share with Gorgan and Naft Zagros. Pas Kordestan at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Tabiat is looking forward to face league's second-placed Gorgan at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Pas Kordestan will play against Shahrod and is hoping to win this game.

Superleague top team - Esteghlal (4-0) had no problems winning another game on Monday. This time they beat eighth ranked Alborz (1-3) in Qeshm 92-75. Esteghlal have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record. Loser Alborz dropped to the tenth place with three games lost. Esteghlal will meet Raad Padafan (#5) in the next round. Alborz will play against Golnoor (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 4: Mahshahr won against Shahrod on the opponent's court 64-55. Naft Zagros outscored Raad Padafan in a home game 89-70. Naft Abadan managed to beat Golnoor on the road 63-57.



Esteghlal - Alborz 92-75

Rather expected game when bottom-ranked Shahrod (0-4) was defeated at home by ninth ranked Mahshahr (2-2) 64-55 on Monday. Mahshahr moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Shahrod still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Golnoor. Mahshahr will meet at home higher ranked Naft Zagros (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
