Superleague Round 3 (Regular Season): Pas Kordestan lose their first game against Mahshahr

The most surprising game was a loss of Pas Kordestan (2-1) on the court of Mahshahr on Thursday night. Visitors were defeated by Mahshahr 55-46. Mahshahr is looking forward to face Shahrod (#12) in the next round. Pas Kordestan will play against Tabiat (#7) and is hoping to win this game.
Very significant was Naft Zagros' (#4) 77-67 road victory against Alborz. Naft Zagros will play against Raad Padafan (#6) in the next round. Alborz will play against Esteghlal in Qeshm to get more than just one victory in their record.
A very close game took place in Abadan between Esteghlal and Naft Abadan. Esteghlal (3-0) got a very close victory on the road over Naft Abadan (1-2). Esteghlal managed to escape with a 3-point win 86-83 on Thursday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Esteghlal will meet at home Alborz (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Naft Abadan will play against Golnoor and hope to win that game.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 3: winless Shahrod lost to Raad Padafan on the opponent's court 73-79. Gorgan outscored Golnoor in a home game 90-59. Kalleh rolled over Tabiat on the road 104-85.



Raad Padafan - Shahrod 79-73

Very expected game when Shahrod (0-3) was defeated on the road by Raad Padafan (2-1) 79-73 on Thursday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Raad Padafan will meet Naft Zagros (#5) in the next round. Shahrod will play against Mahshahr (#9) and hopes to get finally their first victory.

Mahshahr - Pas Kordestan 55-46

Very predictable result when Gorgan (2-1) smashed at home Golnoor (0-3) 90-59 on Thursday. Gorgan will meet Kalleh in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Golnoor will play against Naft Abadan (#10) and hopes to get finally their first victory.

Tabiat - Kalleh 85-104

There was a minor upset when Tabiat (2-1) was rolled over at home by Kalleh (2-1) 104-85 on Thursday. Kalleh will meet at home Gorgan (#4) in the next round. Tabiat will play against Pas Kordestan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Alborz - Naft Zagros 67-77

Very significant was Naft Zagros' (#4) 77-67 road victory against Alborz. Naft Zagros will play against Raad Padafan (#6) in the next round. Alborz will play against Esteghlal in Qeshm to get more than just one victory in their record.
