Naft Abadan sign a second import player

Vasilije Vucetic

Palayesh Naft Abadan (Superleague) inked 29-year old Serbian 207cm power forward Vasilije Vucetic for upcoming season. Vucetic is the second import player in the roster as USA Michael Frazier II signed here earlier.
He played most recently at UEMC Real Valladolid Baloncesto in Spanish Primera FEB. In 27 games he averaged 9.3ppg, 5.7rpg and 1.2apg last season.
The previous (2023-24) season he played at Vojvodina in Serbian KLS where in 32 games he had 9.0ppg, 4.4rpg and 1.4apg in that year. He helped them to win the regular season and make it to the semifinals. He also played 19 games in ABA League where he recorded 9.1ppg, 4.6rpg and 1.3apg in that year. Good season as he was voted League Player of the Week.
Vucetic represented Serbia at the European Championship (FIBA EuroBasket) U20 in Helsinki (Finland) nine years ago. His stats at that event were 7 games: 11.0ppg, 4.1rpg, FGP: 58.0%, FT: 65.5%.
He has played previously professionally also in Slovenia (Petrol Olimpija Ljubljana and Krka).
Among many awards his team won Slovenian Cup in 2021. He was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LEB Gold Honorable Mention back in 2020.
