South Korea U16 secured 5th place at the U16 Asia Cup with a hard-fought 78-73 victory over Iran U16. Korea started well with a 19-14 first quarter but saw their lead slip as Iran responded with a 25-23 second period, leaving the game finely balanced at 42-39 in Korea’s favor at halftime. Iran pushed ahead in the third quarter with a 21-14 run to take a four-point lead into the final frame, but Korea rallied when it mattered most. A dominant 22-13 fourth quarter turned the game around, sealing a five-point win and clinching 5th place.
